A Caramel Baked Apple

I love tis when I feel like something sweet and healthy.  Reminds me of those caramel apples I used to have as a child on Halloween.

I like to use a tart apple. 


1.  Preheat oven to 400F.  May use microwave to heat.

2.  Remove core from apple.

3.  Place apple in baking dish.

4.  Fill center with nuts of your choice.

5. Spoon 1 Tbl. of Rootham Irish Caramel Sauce over top of Apple.

6. Heat until apple is soft with fork.  Time will depend on size of apple. Test after 10 minutes.

7.  For quicker cooking time, cut apple in quarters before adding nuts and Rootham Irish Caramel Sauce.
