Chocolate Filo Pears

Chocolate Filo Pears


1.  Preheat oven to 375F (190C).

2.  With sharp knife, cut through all sheets of filo into 6" squares.  Stack the sheets on top of each other.  Cover with damp tea towel.

3.  Working with 4 sheets of filo at a time, brush squares of filo with melted butter & restack 4 squares on top of each other.

4.  Cut pear into pieces & place some in centre of stacked filo squares.  Gather the filo up so that it enclses the pear & pinch together at top.  Brush the outside of pastry with butter.  Place on greased baking sheet.

5.  Bake for about 15 mins. until pastry is golden brown.

6.  Serve warm, drizzled with Rootham Irresistible Chocolate Sauce or Rootham Chocolate Supreme with Cognac Sauce.
